Rinse glass with absinthe and discard. Combine in a shaker:
2 oz rye whiskey
3/4 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1 to 2 Fresh mint leaves to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with five brandied cherries and a mint leaf speared on a pick.
